# If AI had a personality type, what would it be?

if AI had a personality type, what would it be? I keep thinking about this and I land on the same answer every time but I’m curious whether others come to the same place.

INFJ. introverted, deeply considered responses, prefers to give you the complete picture rather than a quick answer, occasionally wrong in ways that seem very certain. yes. that is the one.

that extremely helpful new employee who has read every document in the company and knows where everything is but has never been to one of our client meetings and doesn’t understand why we don’t just do the logical thing.

the student who did all the reading, takes careful notes, gives thorough and technically correct answers, and has never once had an opinion they were willing to defend under pressure.

a very competent consultant who has worked in every industry, is always professional, always delivers, and you sometimes wonder if they care about any of it or if they’re just very good at seeming like they do.

my answer every time: the person at the party who has read everything about every topic and can talk to anyone about anything and never makes it awkward by having a strong opinion of their own.

capable of passionate-seeming engagement on any topic. no actual stakes in any of it. leaves every conversation having been genuinely helpful and somehow not there.

brilliant dinner party guest. you’d never call them at 2am.
